The Place
Why Serengeti stays with you
The Serengeti ecosystem covers 30,000 square kilometres of East Africa and hosts the largest overland migration on earth — roughly 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebra, and the predators that shadow them. No photograph prepares you for the scale: herds to the horizon, dust in the late light, the sound of ten thousand hooves.
Timing is everything, and it's where we earn our keep. Calving in the southern plains from January to March; the western corridor crossings in June; the Mara River chaos from July to October. We position mobile camps to follow the herds, pairing them with the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire's giant baobabs and elephant herds.
Our safaris run with private guides and vehicles — no queueing at sightings, no fixed schedules. Dawn coffee by the fire, a bush lunch under an acacia, a sundowner as elephants silhouette against the dusk.
